The campaign slogan is “So more people can see the way you see”

Aportem-Puerto Solidario Valencia, an association that Boluda Corporación Marítima helped to found as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility plan, has launched a new initiative in collaboration with Fundació Baleària to support the NGO Visió sense Fronteres, collecting eyeglasses donated by employees of the member entities. These donations will be given to people with difficulty accessing basic eye care items.

This eyeglass collection campaign runs from the fifth of February until the first of March and will accept all types of graduated, foldable or sunglasses of any size without cases. At Boluda Corporación Marítima a collection point has been set up in the headquarters’ reception area.

The NGO Visió Sense Fronteres has been performing eye tests for especially vulnerable people almost all over the world for twenty years, helping to prevent blindness with the support of volunteers and eye specialists.

This is not the first collaboration between Aportem, Fundació Baleària and Visió sense Fronteres; in fact, during the last three years more than 1,300 children have received eye exams and glasses have been provided to those in need via campaigns involving five schools in the Maritime District.

The Aportem association is a partnership between 25 members, mainly companies and professional associations with links to the Valencian port community, among which Boluda Corporación Marítima is a founding partner, that was created to promote social responsibility in the Valencia Port area.
