This cooperation with Emerlan is part of the NGO’s action plan during the State of Alert caused by Covid-19

Boluda Shipping comprehensive transport and international cargo management division Boluda Lines has transferred a refrigerated container to Lanzarote Volunteer Emergency and Rescue Association (Emerlan) to help store perishable food the non-profit organization is collecting during the State of Alert caused by Covid-19.

With this action Boluda Lines is supporting the Canarian charity’s initiative so that the food it collects from individuals and from institutions and companies can be distributed in good condition among the most vulnerable groups. In fact, Emerlan has been receiving many donations from individuals and institutions, hotels and restaurants of fruit, vegetables, yogurt and other perishable products, which rely on this type of refrigerated container to be stored in good condition before being handed out to the individuals and families most in need.

The 40 ft reefer container used by shipping company Boluda Lines has been temporarily loaned free of charge and is installed on one of Emerlan’s ships at its Arrecife facilities.
