Food, clothing and other essential items are collected for the most vulnerable groups of the Maritime district of Valencia
Boluda Corporación Marítima employees in Valencia have collaborated anew in the Christmas solidarity campaign organized by Aportem Puerto Solidario Valencia, of which the Corporation is a founding member. The campaign aims to obtain food, clothing and other essentials for the most vulnerable people of the Maritime district.
Companies and professionals in the Valencian logistics sector have spent the last three weeks collecting and dropping off donations at the Valencia Port Authority for an inventory of the assortment of food, hygiene products, nappies, clothing, school supplies, toys, blankets and household items.
Volunteers from participating companies sorted the items before distribution. A provisional inventory of the donations delivered to drop-off points located in Boluda Corporación Marítima and the other ten companies that have facilitated the collection, amounted to more than 150 kilos of food, 40 litres of toiletries, over 600 nappies, a hundred cleaning products, about 400 books, 400 school supplies items, more than 1000 items of children’s clothing, footwear and accessories, and many other objects for adults, more than 150 household items (sheets and towels) and more than 500 games and toys.
Everything collected was delivered to the different charities Boluda regularly collaborates with to improve the welfare of groups at risk of exclusion. On this occasion the donations were destined for the Alanna foundation, the Amigos de la Calle (Friends of the Street) association, the Santa Ana nursery, and the Brúfol association, whose initiatives are linked to the Maritime neighbourhoods.
