An audience of 3000 admired Fabiola Herrera’s virtuosity in the 20th Temudas Fest.

150 containers made up a unique stage framed by two towering cranes.

The performance of “Carmen” by the mezzo-soprano Fabiola Herrera enthralled an audience of 3,000 in this Boluda concert held on Saturday 16th July. For the fifth consecutive year La Luz Container Terminal provided the unorthodox concert venue where the Gran Canaria Philharmonic Orchestra accompanied by adult and children’s choirs performed Bizet’s famous opera under the direction of Rodrigo Tomillo.
The open-air concert has become a renowned event whose appeal lies in its fascinating industrial setting, where cranes and containers blend in with the sea breeze and salty air. For ninety minutes the powerful performance and the atmosphere it created succeeded in surprising even the most demanding of audiences.
The Festival is organized by Las Palmas city council with the collaboration of Boluda Corporación Marítima, which supports initiatives promoting culture and art through its corporate social responsibility program “Humanitarian Transport”.
