Exhibiting with its own stand for the thirteenth consecutive year, the company will showcase improved connections with the Canary Islands, increased cargo capacity and an expanded fleet of mainly reefer containers

Boluda Corporación Marítima’s comprehensive transport and international goods management division, Boluda Lines, will once again participate in Conxemar, the International Frozen Seafood Exhibition taking place in Vigo on 3, 4, and 5 October. The shipping company, which has attended the event for 13 consecutive years, has its own stand, I-29.

This exhibition is organized by the Conxemar Association for importers, exporters, wholesalers and distributers of fish and aquaculture products, and is one of the processing sector’s leading trade fairs in Europe. With an exhibition area of over 30,000 m2, it receives visitors and exhibitors from all over Spain and Europe.

This year Boluda Lines will again showcase an estimated over 50% increase in load capacity, together with more frequent port calls and notably reduced times, all clearly aimed at improving the connection between the Canary Islands and the Peninsula, the Peninsula with ports in West Africa and trade links between the Canary Islands and West Africa.

To bring about this service improvement, last year the shipping company added two sister ships to its fleet, Josita B and Violeta B: 170m long, with 28m beam and capacity for 1,400 14-ton TEUs. Boluda Lines has also increased its fleet of mainly reefer containers by 2,500 units.

Boluda Lines operates eight container ships on nine commercial lines connecting the Canary Islands, the Iberian Peninsula, the Balearic Islands, Italy, northern Europe, and the west coast of Africa. This number is soon to increase to ten with the opening of the line between Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and the ports of Praia, Mindelo, Sal and Boavista in the Republic of Cabo Verde.

Boluda Corporación Marítima is highly specialized in transporting perishable goods, frozen fish and dry freight. Its regular weekly services with excellent transit time, fleet and load capacity more than meet the high standards required by the cold chain logistics sector.

In addition, through Boluda Cargo Int’l the corporation offers a forwarding service, sending any type of goods to any location. Its 60 offices worldwide and team of experts result in a high quality service.
