Boluda Corporación Marítima attends debate on the contribution of Communication and Corporate Social Responsibility to Sustainable Development Goals set by UN for 2030

The event was organized by Corresponsables, a publishing company that chose Valencia to hold its 100th conference 

The shipping company’s business plan is based on sustainable growth with a socially responsible strategy

On 30 May Boluda Corporación Marítima representatives attended a meeting on responsible communication organized by Corresponsables, which this year has chosen Valencia to celebrate the 100th edition of the conference they have been holding since 2008. At this event participants discussed the contribution of communication and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) set by the UN for 2030.

The 1,606 specialists who took part from 57 countries swam 3.8 kilometres in Playa Grande (Puerto del Carmen), cycled 180.2 km all around the island and ran 42.2 km along the seafront of the tourist hub in Tías

Boluda Corporación Marítima has collaborated by donating one 20ft and two 40ft containers for logistical support in the 26th edition of the Ironman Lanzarote triathlon, a tough and demanding specialist sports event held on 20 May. The event, organized by Lanzarote council and La Santa Club, is considered to be one of the toughest in the world and has become a must-do for long distance triathletes. Continue reading

Boluda Corporación Marítima collaborates with Las Tradiciones school farm in Canary Islands with charitable donation of two containers for a symbolic amount

The facilities, currently being renovated on a farm in the Santa Maria de Guía locality, will provide a space for mistreated animals to convalesce and be adopted, as well as helping people with disabilities

Through the sale of a 40ft and a 20ft container for a symbolic amount, Boluda Corporación Marítima has collaborated again with the Las Tradiciones farm school located in the town of Santa María de Guía, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. This organisation raises awareness of the treatment of abandoned and mistreated animals, and helps them to recover and find new homes. Boluda Tankers charters out oil tanker “Valme B” for one year to state-owned Trinidad and Tobago refinery Petrotrin for bunkering operations

The caribbean company produces liquefied petroleum gas, unleaded gasoline, kerosene, diesel fuel, fuel oil and jet fuel

Boluda Corporación Marítima’s transportation and fuel supply division Boluda Tankers has signed a contract with the caribbean company Petrotrin enabling the state-owned company based in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago to resume bunkering operations.

The “VB Hispania” tugboat crew demonstrate their skills during a storm in the Atlantic ocean

Boluda Corporación Marítima is renowned within the international maritime sector for the navigation skills of its ships crews, who form a highly professional workforce with wide experience navigating in adverse weather conditions.
 
The video shows the crew of the “VB Hispania” tugboat from Boluda Towage and Salvage’s fleet sailing from Spain across the Atlantic ocean to Montreal (Canada) to tow a vessel bound for Europe.
 
During the journey the “VB Hispania” crew had to guide the vessel through a maritime storm, which caused a strong storm surge with waves flooding the deck of the tugboat during the voyage.
 
Despite the rough waves the ship arrived safely in Montreal to hook up to the vessel that departs for Europe on Thursday 11 May.

The french Boluda Towage and Salvage subsidiary expands its fleet with the “VB Tornade” and the “VB Volcan”, built in Piriou shipyard

The central focus is on modernizing vessels and meeting the challenges of new customer demands

The french subsidiary of Boluda Corporación Marítima’s tug division Boluda Towage and Salvage, Boluda France has put into service the “VB Tornade” and the “VB Volcan”: two new, innovative and high-performance tugboats in maritime shipping. Both will provide port and offshore towing and salvage operations in the ports of Le Havre in the north-west of France and on Reunion Island (east of Madagascar in the Indian Ocean).
