Boluda Corporación Marítima colaborates with the foundation Naves de Esperanza (vessels of hope)

Its hospital vessel “África Mercy” has arrived to the port of Las Palmas with the altruistic contribution of Boluda.

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria – Boluda Towage and Salvage, the division of port and offshore towage of Boluda Corporación Marítima, has given for free its assistance for the mooring and the cast off in the Port of Las Palmas of the hospital vessel “Africa Mercy”.

The Africa Mercy is the biggest hospital boat for humanitarian help in te world. It has 152 m long and 15.571 raw tons. It disposes of 6 surgery, 78 hospitalisation beds, intensive cares, X-Ray, TAC, own laboratory and medical equipment.

It has cabins for a crew till about 474 vonlunteers between 30 and 40 diferent nationalities. It’s composed by doctors, dentists, nurses, ingeniers, sailors, cooks, teachers etc. Entire families live on board where the children have their own school ot study from nursery school to the last year of college.

Boluda Corporación Marítima reiterates by this way its social commitmen with the help to all kind of humanitarian actions, like with the foundation Naves de Esperanza whom alliance counts for more than 3 years.
