Jose Mª Soriano has been named new General Manager of Boluda Lines; a department from Boluda Corporación Marítima dedicated to maritime transport of goods. Mr. Soriano, aged 45, is a naval engineer who got the degree in the University Politécnica of Madrid, and he assumes the charge after carrying out different functions in the maritime sector for 20 years.
In 1990 he started his professional career in the Production Department of Union Naval de Levante, where he ended up being the Project Manager. After Boluda purchased Unión Naval de Levante, Mr. Soriano participated in the starting up of a line destined for the construction of the ships for towage. In 2001, he assumes the direction of a fleet of tuna boats all around the world under the “Calvo Corporation”, where he works until 2006.
He joint the Boluda Corporación Maritima Group after holding the position of General Manager in the shipyards of Huelva, where he managed the construction of 2 offshore ships that supported the platforms for the closing of oil wells, applying the highest technology within innovative methods.
Jose Mª Soriano starts a new trajectory after this appointment, with the aim of consolidating the already existing lines and expanding them internationally.
