For the eighth year running Boluda Lines designed the show’s seating area, entrance and backdrop at the Boluda Maritime Terminal facilities in the Canarian port, using 120 containers

More than 3,200 spectators attended the Philharmonic Orchestra of Gran Canaria symphonic concert that took place on 13th July in the setting of Boluda Maritime Terminal Las Palmas, at La Luz pier. Under the direction of conductor Karel Mark Chichon, the Philharmonic Orchestra of Gran Canaria performed a repertoire entitled “Aires gitanos” (Gypsy airs), including pieces by Johan Strauss II, Pablo Sarasate, Franz von Suppé, Carlos Gardel and Pérez Prado, with Russian violinist Sergei Krylov as soloist.

For the eighth year running, Boluda Corporación Marítima sponsored the concert as part of the program of the 23rd annual Temudas Fest, the international festival of theatre, music and dance held on the island of Gran Canaria from 4 July to 2 August.

Boluda Corporación Marítima collaborated with the Temudas International Festival, organized by Las Palmas city council, sponsoring the symphonic concert as part of its corporate social responsibility policy in support of cultural initiatives.

The industrial outdoor stage formed from 38 40 ft. and 36 20 ft. containers provided by Boluda Lines, the corporation’s comprehensive transport and international freight management division, provided perfect acoustics for the 50,000 square metre area, which was also lit by two 80m high, 800 ton post-Panamax cranes.
