Fernando Caracciolo Villegas, manager of Boluda Lines’ International Lines, died at the age of 67 in Barcelona on 2 June.

Caracciolo was one of the most respected and well-loved professionals in the maritime sector. Forming part of Boluda Corporación Marítima since the 90s, he began his professional career in Ibarra Lines before moving to Trasmediterránea.

In Boluda Lines, he was a driver for international expansion in the shipping company, helping to open up important markets in Morocco, Mauritania and Senegal. He also created and supervised the regular Italy shipping line, and advised on and took part in setting up and organising Boluda’s regional offices in South America.

A polyglot, tireless worker and recognized expert in the maritime sector, he has formed part of a variety of national and international professional associations.

He was loved and respected throughout the international maritime sector for his great professionalism, personal qualities and perfect manners, as well as by all his colleagues in Boluda Corporación Marítima who deeply mourn this sad loss.
