The container will be used as a space to store tools for the non-profit organization’s gardening and nursery workshop
With the donation of a 20-foot container, Boluda Corporación Marítima has collaborated with Eduterra, a non-profit organization that provides training for people with intellectual disabilities and/or functional diversity looking for employment as gardening and nursery professionals.
The container, which will be used to store the gardening toolsets, was delivered on Tuesday 2 May.
Support for this type of entity is part of Boluda Corporación Marítima’s strategy of supporting non-profit associations and non-governmental organizations within its corporate social responsibility program.
The outstanding project that the maritime corporation has chosen to endorse is a prime example within Valencia of good practices in training, inclusion and support for this group and their families, which defend the rights and dignity of people with intellectual disabilities and/or functional diversity, and offers special education on respect for the environment.
Since its creation in October 2013 the Eduterra association has provided training for 35 people with intellectual disabilities and/or functional diversity interested in obtaining a professional certificate in gardening and nursery. The entity gives preference to school leavers between 17 and 24 years old with intellectual disability.
Boluda Corporación Marítima’s donation of the container will go towards providing the tools needed to enhance personal and social autonomy in this group of persons, helping them enter the job market in the gardening sector.
