The business group will have its own stand, 7-160, in the 13th edition taking place from 4 to 6 april
One of the most important logistics forums worldwide
Boluda Corporación Marítima will be taking part for the fourth consecutive year with its own stand, 7-160, presenting its internationalization and growth plan at the 13th edition of the Intermodal South America international exhibition, to be held in Sao Paulo Brazil from 4 to 6 april. The logistics, cargo transport and international trade fair works as a platform for launches, strengthening brand awareness, sales and networking.
During the exhibition, Boluda will present the most important innovations in its services on both sides of the Atlantic, through its different divisions and subsidiaries, as a result of the expansion plan being carried out by the company. The plan focuses primarily on the group’s tug division Boluda Towage and Salvage.
The tugboat division will be represented at the Intermodal exhibition through its towing subsidiaries: Compañía Marítima Austral, which operates in Argentina and in the Paraguay-Paraná Waterway, one of the most important river routes in the world and key to traffic of goods from the Southern Cone, and Reyla, a towage company operating in Uruguayan ports and the aforementioned waterway.
The group has strengthened its investment plan with the concession of new towing contracts, such as in Togo and the Mexican ports of Manzanillo and Altamira. The holding company has also acquired the assets of Germany’s Unterweser Reederei (Urag) and its subsidiaries Urag International and Lütgens & Reimers (L & R) to operate its 18 tugs in the ports of Hamburg, Bremenhaven, Brake, Cuxhaven, Nordenham and Willhelmshaven. To this end they have formed a new company, Boluda Deutschland, with a workforce of 140.
There has also been expansion in Boluda Lines, the comprehensive transport and international cargo management division, that connects the American continent to Europe via the port of Dakar (Senegal) and offers 9 commercial shipping lines linking the main European ports and the west coast of Africa. The division has incorporated two units in the North Line, with stopovers in Bilbao-Vilagarcía de Arousa and Lisbon; the “Wega” unit in the Mediterranean Line that operates the direct Alicante-Canarias route, as well as two container units in the weekly Barcelona-Valencia-Canarias line, the “Nordcheetah” and the “Nordlluch”.
This division provides international freight forwarding services through Boluda Cargo Int’l which has a global reach, offering comprehensive logistics solutions in maritime, land and air services.
In addition, through Boluda Terminales Marítimas Boluda Lines operates four of its own terminals, which enjoy a strategic location in the Iberian peninsula and the Canary Islands. This business division also includes Boluda Project Cargo, which offers a wide range of services to clients with industrial projects and provides a personalized service with global coverage.
Through its subsidiary Naviera del Mercosur, Boluda Corporación Marítima will present the consolidation of its line in the Paraguay-Paraná Waterway, one of the major river routes in the world and fundamental for cargo transport in the Southern Cone. The route connects the ports of Montevideo (Uruguay), Buenos Aires (Argentina) and Asunción (Paraguay), as well as the intermediate ports of Rosario and Zárate (Argentina) on a weekly basis. During this quarter the company plans to incorporate the “Vicky B”, the “Asuncion B”’s sister ship, into the waterway line.
Boluda Corporación Marítima is therefore able to offer the widest range of personalized, comprehensive services, thanks to its strong presence in the American continent and the Caribbean, where it operates in 20 ports.
The event takes place in the Transamerica Expo Center in Sao Paulo and is organized by United Business Madia Limited (UNM). It brings together more than 600 exhibiting companies from around 30 countries, with 150 conferences outlining the main developments in the transport and logistics sector.
The following sectors are represented in the exhibition: appliances, auto industry, private transport companies, railways, freight forwarders, ports and shipping companies, logistic services, electrical industry, manufacturing machinery, research and development, petrochemical / chemical industry, air cargo, and land transportation companies.
