Las Palmas – The Terminal of containers La Luz, has been the unusual stage, consecutively for the third year of the The Cinema Concert performed by the Philarmonic Orchestra of Gran Canaria and the choir of OFGC, conducted both by Pedro Halffter.

The terminal transformed its usual aspect and, after two days of intense work of the technicians and workers of Boluda Corporacion Maritima, changed itself in a magnificent stage formed by industrial elements, cranes and containers, in a space designed by the local architect Juan Espino.

The nearly 3000 persons enjoyed with wellknown pieces of soundtracks : The Opening of Erich Wolfgang Korngold for the Captain Blood ( Michael Curtiz, 1935) ; The Suite of Starwars ( George Lucas 1977) by John Williams and the score of Sergei Prokofieve for Alexander Nevsky ( Sergei M. Einsenstein, 1938). A giant screen show to the audience  images of the movies which soundtrack were played.

The technique and effort of the personal of Boluda Corporation marítima, has made possibe the assembly and dismanteling of the peculiar industrial arquitecture in a record time, with the terminal who hadn’t stop in any moment to give its natural activity.

Organised by the townhall of Las Palmas de Gran Canarial, this show is included inside the programme of the 18th Temudas Fest.
