Antonio Alcaraz, oficial photographer of the pilots of the Port of Valencia, is doing a complete rotation that lasts 14 days.

The photographer Antonio Alcaraz is living one of his dreams, doing a trip in a cargo ship.

Last Saturday, the 14th, he took place in Valencia on board of the boat Beatriz B, destination to the Canary Islands. The stops previewed are : Las Palmas, Sta Cruz de Tenerife, Sta Cruz de la Palma, Alicante, Barcelona, Valencia.

Antonio, during the preparations, told us touched that this was for him a wonderful adventure and due to the emotion he couldn’t sleep the week before the boarding.

His illusion has been to know how it feels being a man of sea, how is life on board, what does the crew when it’s suffering a storm, the feelings you experience living months far from its family and listening the full of anecdotes our experimented sailors have lived through the years.

In the first stop, Las Palmas, he sends us its first mail, where he tells that the expectations of his trip are surpassed and that the captain and the rest of the crew are happy people and accessible that’s why it’s easy to share with them. He sends us this picture taken from his cabin.
