Boluda Corporación Marítima today celebrated the launching of a multi-purpose vessel at the company’s shipyard. The ceremony was presided over by Vicente Boluda, Chairman of the Group, and was attended by the Mayor of Valencia, Rita Barberá, as Sponsor. Also present were Alicia Martín, Managing Director of Boluda Corporación Marítima and Rafael Aznar, Chairman of the Port Authority of Valencia.

The multi-purpose vessel was built by Boluda Shipyards, the division in charge of shipbuilding and repair. Salient technical characteristics are its length, 75 metres, beam of 16 metres and depth of 7 metres. It also has very high manoeuvrability, thanks to its revolutionary system of propulsion, which allows it to reach a speed of 11 knots.

Following a tour of Boluda Corporación Marítima’s facilities, the Sponsor and her entourage mounted the rostrum, from where they proceeded to launch the vessel. “With over 100 years experience”, explained Chairman Vicente Boluda, “our shipyards have been able to adapt to a new age, incorporating the most advanced and efficient technological systems. These advances have enabled us to build ships like the one we are launching today, in which innovation and modernity are combined with safety and respect for the environment”.
