Boluda takes another step in its infrastructure modernization strategy in the Canary Islands by implementing a new digital platform at its Tenerife terminal.
The arrival of larger capacity vessels and the concentration of thousands of movements in increasingly demanding operational windows force terminals to gain speed, coordination, and anticipation capacity. To respond to this challenge, Boluda Shipping will incorporate a digital platform into its Tenerife terminal that, via an app, will allow optimizing land access to the terminal for carriers and logistics operators, minimizing wait times and overloads.
To this end, it has relied on Pulse Mobile technology, developed by the company TMEIC, a specialist in the development of advanced automation systems for industries and ports. This technology will act from the moment transport companies receive an order to pick up or deliver cargo, initiating the workflow that spans from operational information validation, issue management, terminal access, and ground operations, through to facility exit
In this way, the terminal will be able to better order its truck entry flows, reduce bottlenecks, and offer a more predictable operation at its access gates. The new process will allow moving key operational and access control processes to earlier stages, resolving up to 80% of issues before trucks arrive at the gate, facilitating a more efficient flow.
This technological investment responds to a commitment to efficiency, the environment, people, and clients. Fewer wait times mean fewer idling engines and fewer atmospheric emissions.
This initiative is especially relevant for BMT Tenerife, which serves large container ships, including Ultra Large Container Vessels (ULCV). The scale of these vessels increases pressure on access gates, the yard, and coordination with land transport. Pulse Mobile will help absorb these activity peaks and maintain a reliable, agile, and competitive service.

Real-time connectivity allows for improved coordination and decision-making, reduced errors, a complete transaction history, and the elimination of paper documentation. In addition, it allows integration with terminal operating systems (TOS), port community systems (PCS), and other existing Boluda platforms.
