Boluda Shipping continues to advance its intermodal logistics strategy following the incorporation of Transfesa’s rail business into its service portfolio. This activity is integrated within Boluda Logistics, the company’s division specialising in land-based logistics solutions, alongside road transport and warehousing services. The integration expands Boluda’s ability to provide increasingly efficient logistics solutions, connecting rail and maritime transport within a single operational chain.
On the tracks, the Euro 4000 locomotive now showcases Boluda’s new corporate livery. The company’s distinctive blue and red colours, together with the iconic “B” emblem, enhance brand visibility in the rail sector and project a unified image of the logistics services that Boluda Shipping provides by both sea and rail. The new design highlights the strategic role of rail transport as one of the key pillars of the company’s logistics offering.
As part of this operation, Boluda Lines containers are transported by rail between Madrid and Jerez de la Frontera, where they continue their journey by sea through the company’s regular services. This integration of rail and maritime transport provides an efficient connection between Northern Europe and the Iberian Peninsula, the Canary Islands, Cape Verde and various destinations across West Africa, creating a sustainable logistics chain tailored to the needs of international trade.
The rail service is operated using intermodal wagons designed for the transport of maritime containers, a solution that enables more efficient cargo flow management and enhances the competitiveness of international supply chains.
