After a decade of growth and consolidation in the North European market, Boluda has established its regional headquarters in the heart of Rotterdam’s historic Maritime Quarter. A district that has been closely linked to shipping, trade and port activity for centuries and is widely regarded as one of the city’s most prestigious business locations.
Boluda Corporación Marítima has officially inaugurated its Netherlands headquarters in Rotterdam, located in the city’s historic Maritime Quarter, a landmark location that will serve as the nerve centre of its operations in Northern Europe through its subsidiaries Boluda Towage and Boluda Shipping.
The building was officially inaugurated by Vicente Boluda Fos, Chairman of Boluda Corporación Marítima, accompanied by Vicente Boluda Ceballos, Executive President of Boluda Towage, Ignacio Boluda Ceballos, Executive President of Boluda Shipping, and Verónica Boluda Ceballos, Chief Corporate Officer of Boluda Corporación Marítima.
The event was attended by René de Vries, Harbour Master of the Port of Rotterdam, who represented the Port Authority as well as Ana Núñez, General Director of the Merchant Marine at Spain’s Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, who joined Boluda on this remarkable milestone for Rotterdam, welcoming one of the world’s leading maritime companies, a group that is helping to shape the future of the global maritime industry.
Northwest Europe represents a strategic region for Boluda, bringing together some of the continent’s most important logistics, industrial and maritime hubs. Over the past decade, the company has established a leading position across the region, providing essential maritime services in some of Europe’s busiest ports and logistics corridors.
Boluda Towage started its activities in the region in 2017, starting by Germany and laying the foundations for its subsequent growth in the Netherlands, Belgium, United Kingdom, Finland and Norway, with Rotterdam becoming one of its main operational hubs. Boluda Towage operates in more than 21 ports across the region, with a fleet of 138 vessels and highly experienced local crews.
Vicente Boluda Ceballos, Executive Chairman of Boluda Towage, commented: “These new headquarters reflect our long-term commitment to Northern Europe and our ambition to continue growing alongside our customers and partners in this strategic region.”
Boluda Shipping further strengthened its presence in the region in 2023, launching regular short-sea shipping services connecting the Iberian Peninsula with the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Ireland, reinforcing Rotterdam’s role as a strategic logistics hub within its European network
“Our business model delivers integrated logistics solutions by connecting maritime transport, terminals, rail and road into a coordinated supply chain, providing flexibility, efficiency and end-to-end support for our customers” declared Ignacio Boluda Ceballos, Executive Chairman of Boluda Shipping
Today, Boluda Towage is the world’s leading towage operator, while Boluda Shipping continues to strengthen maritime transport and intermodal logistics services, connecting Northern Europe with the Iberian Peninsula, West Africa and Cape Verde.
Verónica Boluda Ceballos, Chief Corporate Officer of Boluda Corporación Marítima, concluded: “These offices bring our teams together in one of Europe’s leading maritime hubs and reflect the collaborative spirit that continues to drive our international growth.”
The opening of its Rotterdam headquarters marks another milestone in the company’s nearly two centuries of maritime history and reflects its ambition to further strengthen its presence in the world’s leading maritime markets.
