Nautik Magazine, the Forbes Spain publication dedicated to the blue economy and the nautical lifestyle, has named Vicente Boluda Fos as Mariner of the Year 2025.
The award will be presented to him in December during an event that will bring together representatives from the nautical sector, institutions, and organisations committed to the sustainable development of the sea.
This recognition highlights the value of a business career closely linked to the maritime sector and a strategic vision that has consolidated Boluda Corporación Marítima as an international benchmark. Under the leadership of Vicente Boluda Fos since the 1980s, the family-owned company —founded in 1837— now operates in more than 50 countries, with a fleet of 1,000 vessels including tugboats, container ships, and auxiliary vessels. Its operations encompass port towage, offshore, maritime transport, terminals, and multimodal logistics services.
In addition to his business activities, Boluda plays a prominent role in the institutional sphere, chairing organisations such as the Spanish Shipowners Association, the Valencian Shipping Association, and the Valencian Association of Entrepreneurs. He is also a member of several renowned academic institutions, and, in 2022, he was awarded the Legion of Honour by the French Government for his contribution to the international maritime economy.
This distinction acknowledges Vicente Boluda’s role as a key figure in the evolution of the Spanish maritime sector, promoting a vision for the future based on innovation, institutional commitment, and international sustainability.
