Málaga, 9th june 2023.- The president of Boluda Corporación Marítima, Vicente Boluda Fos, has been awarded the prestigious title of Honorary Harbour Pilot by the National Association of Harbour Pilots. This appointment was made in recognition of the shipowner ‘s commitment to the sector and his contribution to the profession.
The designation of Honorary Harbour Pilot was unanimously approved at the General Assembly of the National Association of Harbour Pilots on June 1st 2022. The organization is a social and institutional referent that represents and defends the profession and the professional interests of its members, as well as collaborating with public administrations in safeguarding maritime safety, human life at sea and the environment.
The appointment took place at the Gala Dinner of the College’s Annual Congress, held on June 9th in Málaga, and was attended by various institutional representatives and companies linked to the Spanish maritime sector.

Prior to the gala, at the Institute of Port Studies of the Port Authority of Málaga, several conferences were held on the obligations of the public port pilotage service, the coordination of business activities in relation to pilotage, and the setting of rates for this port service.
