The Boluda Corporación Marítima shipping company currently operates 14 lines specialized in perishable and refrigerated products

Boluda Lines will exhibit in space number 10C10C, located in Ifema pavilion 10 from 23 to 25 October

Boluda Corporación Marítima’s comprehensive transport logistics and international cargo management division Boluda Lines will attend Fruit Attraction for the first time with its own stand, responding to customer demand and showcasing expansion of new markets, in line with its commitment to internationalization in its service, which has increased during the last year from 11 to 14 lines. The maritime routes link the Iberian Peninsula with the Canary Islands, the Balearic Islands, Northern Europe, the West coast of Africa and Cape Verde, as well as the Paraná-Paraguay Waterway Line in Latin America.

The International Trade Fair for the Fruit and Vegetable Industry, celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, will be held in Ifema (Madrid), from 9.30 am to 7 pm during 3 days from 23 to 25 October. In previous years the Boluda Corporación Marítima shipping company has attended as a visitor to this important fair, which this year will be attended by 1,600 exhibiting companies and 70,000 professionals from 120 countries.

This year with the slogan “Where Fresh Produce & Innovation Meet”, Fruit Attraction 2018 offers a wide range of innovations to the industry as a whole to continue driving and facilitating business interaction. Canada and Saudi Arabia will be the guest importing markets at this year’s event, due to their excellent performance in importing fruit and vegetables from the EU over recent years.

Among noteworthy innovations this year Boluda Lines will present the expansion of the Seville Line, which connected this port on the same route with Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Tenerife and Lisbon, and since this month has diversified into four routes. The Seville 1 Line makes the route between Seville, Tenerife and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The Seville 2 Line links Seville with Tenerife, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Arrecife. The Seville 3 Line joins this river port with Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Tenerife, and the Seville 4 line connects Seville with Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Tenerife and Lisbon.

The company has also consolidated its exclusive line with Cape Verde, until now divided into two via the West Africa 1 and Africa 2 lines, to connect Las Palmas de Gran Canaria with the ports of Palmeira, Sal Rei, Praia and Mindelo. Thanks to the good results obtained transporting a wide variety of Spanish fruit and vegetables, including the shipment of the Canarian plantain for both local consumption and to supply major hotel chains, the line with the islands of the Republic of Cape Verde has been operating since October 2017.

Specialized company

Nearly 200 years’ experience in maritime transport and commitment to new technology has specialized Boluda Lines in the logistics chain for perishable and refrigerated products. Meeting these challenges has led Boluda Lines to become one of the leading experts in the transport sector of fruit and vegetable products, enjoying significant growth in recent years in national and international export and import of refrigerated goods.

Responding to a sector demand for higher quality, securer perishable goods transport, during recent years the shipping company has invested heavily in reefers, enabling the corporation to simplify and improve the logistics chain required for this type of cargo.
