Vicente Boluda attended the Propeller Club of Valencia´s lunch colloquium as chairman of the Valencian Association of Entrepreneurs
The meeting looked at the role of business associations
Vicente Boluda, chairman of Boluda Corporación Marítima, believes that the premise behind the Valencian Association of Entrepreneurs (AVE) is not only to raise the profile of the entrepreneur, but aldo to “promote growth in the Valencian región”, wich as well as benefitting businesses benefits society as a whole, he added.
Vicente Boluda spoke on 2 march at the Propeller Club Valencia, the managers and logistic entrepreneurs association in which he is a partner. The lunch colloquium that he atended as chairman of the Valencian Association of Entrepreneurs (AVE) analyzed the role of business associations and lobby groups. “At AVE, we are partners in Valencian society over and above the interests of our companies”, he added.
The maritime entrepreneur stressed that one of the strengths of the association, as well as economic Independence, lies in “its commitmenmt to society” and in its ability to “represent the voice of Valencians wherever necessary”.
The AVE chairman detailed the business entity´s proactive role in the drive to implement the Mediterranean Rail Corridor, noting also its participation in other relevant issues, such as the campaign to report regional underfunding and water distribution.
Vicente Boluda reported that AVE currently brigns together 105 sector-leading entrepreneurs who together generate 170.000 jobs and over 43% of Valencian Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
To conclude his speech, Boluda outlined AVE´s role in the development of the family business, the Economy and Society Group the creation of the EDEM business school and the Rey Jaume U Awards.
The lunch concluded with a lively discussion between the partners of Propeller Clu Valencia and the chairman of Boluda Corporación Marítima about the importance and current status of Valencian business associations as well as they play as regards central government.
Responding to menbers questions regarding the dock workers dispute, Vicente Boluda expressed a desire to see an agreement reached as soon as possible and bemoaned the haste of recent action taken, despite their having had four years to reach a pact.
After the act Boluda received the Propeller commemorative plaque fron club president Francisco Prado.
