As part of its corporate social responsibility program “Humanitarian Transport”, Boluda Corporacion Maritima has donated a 20ft container to the NED Foundation, to transport medical supplies to the Mnazi Mmoja NED Surgical Institute in Zanzibar (Tanzania) for humanitarian aid.
The NED Foundation is registered with the Valencian region’s foundations registry. Its principal aim is to promote scientific, technical and cultural activity and to train healthcare staff in neurosciences in order to improve technological developments and applications in the healthcare field.
NED’s main focus is on practical teaching and performing various neurosurgical interventions in hospitals in East Africa; it has also donated equipment and surgical instruments and funded healthcare staff training.
