The USS Kearsarge, the fifth USN ship to carry this name, was attended by Boluda’s Valencia-based tugs during its entry manoeuvres in the city’s port.
The operation including the participation of the VB Conqueridor, VB Llevant, VB Poder and VB Soñador tugs. The USS Kearsarge is the USN’s 3rd Wasp-class assault ship.
The Kearsarge has an LOA of 257 metres, a beam of 32 metres, a draft of 8.2 metres and a displacement of 41,100 tonnes. Its crew is made up of 104 officers, 1004 sailors and 1893 marines.
