Boluda has received this award in recognition of his business career, after a year marked by its growth and expansion, during the Levante-EMV gala where he received the award from the president of Editorial Prensa Valencia, Javier Moll.
The eighth edition of “Premios Levante” took place yesterday at the Valencia Congress Palace, which annually recognizes companies, individuals and institutions for their social, economic and scientific contribution to society.
Boluda Corporación Marítima received the Economy 2024 award in recognition of its business career and contribution to boosting the economy. Ignacio Boluda, vice-president of Boluda Corporación Marítima and president of Boluda Shipping, received the award from Javier Moll, president of the Iberian Press.
A recognition for the company in a year marked by its growth and expansion, both in its maritime transport and international logistics division, Boluda Shipping, and in the business division with which it holds the world leadership in maritime towing, Boluda Towage.
The company has invested in the expansion and modernization of its maritime terminals operated through Boluda Maritime Terminals (BMT), specifically in the Santander terminal. This installation has benefited from an investment of 2 million euros, which has allowed it to be expanded by 16,000 m2, making it one of the most competitive logistics terminals in the country.
BMT has also been able to diversify by taking advantage of new business opportunities from its container terminal in Las Palmas, where it has just inaugurated a new and innovative logistics project in collaboration with Car Canarias Logistic to make the import and management of vehicles in the Canary Islands more sustainable.
In addition, Boluda Lines has reinforced the services of its shipping lines, which now number 11, strengthening its northern European line that connects Spain and Portugal with the United Kingdom, Ireland, and the Netherlands. 2024 was a year marked by Boluda Towage’s expansion in the United Kingdom, with the acquisition of Resolve Salvage and Fire Ltd and SMS Towage Ltd, and France, with the purchase of the legendary maritime salvage company Les Abeilles.
In addition, last June, the sector awarded Boluda Towage the “Tug Owner of the Year 2024” recognition for its international expansion, innovation and sustainability.
