Boluda Corporación Marítima’s shipping company Boluda Lines has collaborated again with a solidarity project through its Humanitarian Transport program, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility policy. The Tenerife en Verde project is aimed at the socially excluded, homeless and long-term unemployed

On Friday 23 June Boluda Corporación Marítima collaborated again with Cáritas Diocesana de Tenerife, donating a 40ft container towards its Tenerife en Verde green project, subsidized by the Cabildo (Canarian council), to train 40 participants to become organic farmers. The training is targeted at people at risk of exclusion, the long-term unemployed and homeless people currently residing in the facilities of the charity organisation Cáritas. Continue reading

The 1,606 specialists who took part from 57 countries swam 3.8 kilometres in Playa Grande (Puerto del Carmen), cycled 180.2 km all around the island and ran 42.2 km along the seafront of the tourist hub in Tías

Boluda Corporación Marítima has collaborated by donating one 20ft and two 40ft containers for logistical support in the 26th edition of the Ironman Lanzarote triathlon, a tough and demanding specialist sports event held on 20 May. Boluda Corporación Marítima collaborates with Las Tradiciones school farm in Canary Islands with charitable donation of two containers for a symbolic amount

The facilities, currently being renovated on a farm in the Santa Maria de Guía locality, will provide a space for mistreated animals to convalesce and be adopted, as well as helping people with disabilities

Through the sale of a 40ft and a 20ft container for a symbolic amount, Boluda Corporación Marítima has collaborated again with the Las Tradiciones farm school located in the town of Santa María de Guía, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. This organisation raises awareness of the treatment of abandoned and mistreated animals, and helps them to recover and find new homes. 4th Charity Gala of Propeller Club Valencia

The logistics sector raised 23,000 euros for Aportem Puerto Solidario for disadvantaged children in the port area of Valencia

Boluda Corporación Marítima was represented by the associate manager of Human Resources and the manager of Communication and Institutional Relations

The 4th Logistics Sector Charity Gala, organized by Propeller Club Valencia, has raised 23,000 euros for the institution Aportem Puerto Solidario Valencia, an entity that fundraises for children and families at risk of social exclusion in the port area. The money raised will provide the most disadvantaged children with food, clothing, toiletries, school supplies and sports equipment.

Boluda Corporación Marítima donates container to Nuevo Futuro to help victims of Hurricane Matthew in Haiti

Boluda Corporación Marítima has collaborated with the non-governmental organization Nuevo Futuro with the donation of a 40-foot container to provide disaster relief for the people of Haiti following the serious damage caused by Hurricane Matthew in early october.

The hurricane affected more than two million Haitians, including half a million children, killing more than a thousand.

This humanitarian initiative to help NGOs transport aid to third world countries is part of Boluda Corporación Marítima’s Humanitarian Transport program, in line with their corporate social responsibility policy.

Through its charity project Humanitarian Transport Boluda Corporación Marítima collaborates with various NGOs and aid agencies. Among other activities the company donates Boluda containers and offers free space on its container ships to countries such as Senegal, Mauritania or Morocco to help NGOs transport humanitarian aid to disadvantaged countries or humanitarian crises.

During this aid collection campaign taking place in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, with logistic collaboration from the Colegio de las Dominicas and the Tenerife port authority, the NGO Nuevo Futuro has organised the delivery of about two tons of wheat, clothing and school supplies to Haiti for children affected by Hurricane Matthew.

Container transports humanitarian supplies to Zanzibar (Tanzania)

As part of its corporate social responsibility program “Humanitarian Transport”, Boluda Corporacion Maritima has donated a 20ft container to the NED Foundation, to transport medical supplies to the Mnazi Mmoja NED Surgical Institute in Zanzibar (Tanzania) for humanitarian aid.
The NED Foundation is registered with the Valencian region’s foundations registry. Its principal aim is to promote scientific, technical and cultural activity and to train healthcare staff in neurosciences in order to improve technological developments and applications in the healthcare field.
NED’s main focus is on practical teaching and performing various neurosurgical interventions in hospitals in East Africa; it has also donated equipment and surgical instruments and funded healthcare staff training.

Boluda wins first prize at the XXVII World Paella Competition

Successful participation of nearly 5,000 people

Boluda Corporación Marítima won the First Prize at the XXVII World Paella Contest organized by Falla J.J. Domine-Av. Port and Grupo Diario, in an edition that shattered the previous record for participation: some 378 paellas were registered and the event saw the participation of 5000 enthusiastic participants from Valencian logistics companies. The company will adapt a bunker barge for the transportation of LNG.

The project will contribute to the decarbonisation of the European sea lanes in the Atlantic and the Mediterranean.

Through Boluda Corporación Martíma’s participation in the GAINN4MOS project, the company is adapting a transport and supply bunker barge for the transportation of LNG, a more environmentally-friendly fuel.

La Luz Terminal outstanding scene of the XIX edition of Temudas Fest

The concert “Symphonic Dances” was performed by the Filamornica of Gran Canaria and conducted by Pedro Halffter. 

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.- For the fourth consecutive year, the terminal of containers La luz of Boluda Corporación Maritima, has been the outstanding scene of the concert performed by the Filarmonica of Gran Canaria, “Symphonic Dances” that converted the terminal in an inusual concert hall.

The great effort and technique of the personal of Boluda Corporacion Maritima allowed to convert in record time the usual aspect of the terminal, without affecting its quotidian activity, in an amazing stage.

The amazing numbers of the transformation of the terminal La luz have been :

  • 50.000 m2  port área occupied.
  • 450 metres of berth line affected.
  • 2 cranes post-panamá of 80 metres high and 800 kg of weight under wich the concert was realised.
  • 4 cranes trastainers who acted as illuminated corridor from the entrance to the seats
  • 100 containers, 50 of them were for the scene, 10 por the video projection and 40 for the closing of the lateral streets for the security of the assistants.

In addition, the containers had to ajust their set up to special conditions for the acoustic, that allow the magnificent execution of the Filamornica de Gran Canaria arrived to the assistants with all its quality.

Another year more , Boluda Corporacion Maritima follows the cultural initiatives of the town council of  Las Palmas and opens its installations for the citizens to enjoy this amazing show.

Boluda Cameroon inaugurates The Maritime Museum of Douala

Jean Marc Michel, manager of Boluda Cameroon, has been named president of the Foundation of the Friends of the Maritime Museum of Douala.

Boluda Lines realised a new transport for the Bank of food

With this one they are already 12 shipments made since 2011.

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria – Boluda Lines, transport division of Boluda Corporación Marítima, has made on board of one of its vessels, a new shipment destinated to the Bank of Food of Arrecife (Lanzarote).

Boluda Corporación Marítima and Aportem -Valencia Puerto Solidario-,have started-up a supportive campaign

Material in benefit of children and in destination of welcome flat for immigrants situated in the port area.

 

Boluda Corporación Marítima, as a member of Aportem-Valencia Puerto Solidario- inside the actions of Social Corporative Responsibility that they regularly start-up, have started a supportive campaign in order to give support to two welcome flats situated in the port area. Those temporary flats serves to help to the survival and socio-labor insertion of sub-Saharawi workers, a collective especially vulnerable   and who wants to integrate the Valencian Society. La Luz welcome 3000 people in an exceptional stage composed by containers.

Compositions of Wagner and Verdi were played.

 

The containers terminal La luz of Boluda Terminals Marítimas, was the wonderful place of the concert “The Opera Experience”, performed by the Philharmonic Orchestra of Gran Canaria accompanied by its choir, inside the Lpa Temuda Fest. The contents of the remittance have been analgesics, antiseptics, cortisones, antibiotics and material of first aid.

Boluda will transfer the solidarity of Valencia to West Africa

The Company presents Humanitarian Transport, a supportive initiative with whom it will help the ONG to transport the humanitarian help to third world countries.

The first action will take place in the beach park of the formula 1 of Valencia where, from the 19th to the 27th, a supportive container will be situated for the citizen to be able to deposit material to be sent to Senegal.

Boluda Lines collaborates in humanitarian aid convoy to Africa

The shipping line will cover the Las Palmas-Dakar shipping route transporting four ambulances and three lorries on one of their container ships.

Transportation by sea has now become a more secure alternative to land transport for NGOs wishing to transport humanitarian goods to Africa.

Yesterday, the Museo Marítimo de Barcelona hosted the launch of the second humanitarian aid convoy bound for Africa organized by Red Logística Humanitaria(RLH), a Non Governmental Organisation, and in which Boluda Lines will collaborate. The shipping division from Boluda Corporación Marítima will be transporting four ambulances and three lorries as well as medical and educational supplies, in one of their container ships on the Las Palmas-Dakar shipping route. The shipping route is currently a more secure alternative to the habitual land transportation in the north of Africa which, for safety reasons, is considered to be inadvisable by overseas volunteers.
