At Europe’s biggest logistic sector trade fair, the company presented the 18 tugs it now operates in the German ports of Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Bremen, Brake, Cuxhaven and Wilhelmshaven following the purchase of Urag

Boluda Corporación Marítima made a return visit to the Transport Logistic trade fair in Munich, Germany, in a new biannual edition that took place from 9 to 12 May. The maritime company organised visits, meetings and networking to promote its wide range of logistics services during the four-day event.

The exhibition gathered together more than 1,800 exhibitors from 62 countries and 4,800 visitors, maintaining its position as the logistics sector’s biggest trade fair. The event offered visitors an overview of the entire transport and logistics sector process chain.

The corporation capitalised on the exhibition visit to inform clients about their international expansion plan for integrated multimodal transport services, international goods management and ship towing on both sides of the Atlantic.

Transport Logistic Munich, with an exhibition area of 592,020 square metres, is Europe’s most important logistics sector exhibition in areas such as land and sea transport, terminals, ports, agencies, freight forwarders and containers.

Boluda Corporación Marítima representatives set up meetings with existing and potential future clients to present the global maritime services they provide, as well as competitive services in multimodal logistics.

In the international forum the shipping division Boluda Lines promoted the maritime transport services of its ten commercial lines connecting Spain, France, United Kingdom, Holland, Germany, Italy, Cape Verde and the west coast of Africa, as well as its land and air services.

Likewise, Boluda Lines showcased its expertise throughout the logistics chain with services such as the management of its four maritime terminals, international freight forwarding, project cargo, shipping agency, integrated logistics and warehousing. Boluda Lines’ logistic services also include Boluda Trucks, with a fleet of 50 Volvo trucks, and 130 years’ experience in shipping agency services. This portfolio of comprehensive logistics services represents a major competitive advantage in the sector.

Towage management in six German ports

Boluda Towage and Salvage, the towage division and second largest tugboat company in the world, promoted its harbour and offshore towage and maritime rescue services in Spain, France, Germany, West Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean and the Indian Ocean.

The company is currently implementing an investment and international expansion plan, as new contracts in areas such as Togo in Africa and the Mexican ports of Manzanillo and Altamira demonstrate.

The company also presented for the first time in Munich the18 tugs already operating in the German ports of Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Bremen, Brake, Cuxhaven and Wilhelmshaven, via the company Boluda Deutschland with a workforce of 140, newly-created after the purchase of Urag in early 2017.

In addition, at the Munich trade fair Boluda Corporación Marítima exhibited the services provided by Boluda Tankers, a sector leader in Spain in fuel transportation and supply, with more than 12 million tons supplied and services in South America and the Caribbean.
