The centre serves 140 people per day in the Ciudad Lineal district

As part of the “Humanitarian Transport” charity initiative, Boluda Corporación Marítima’s transportation division Boluda Lines has donated a 40ft reefer container to Ventas Meal Centre, which will provide refrigerated storage for food donated to prepare meals.

Ventas Meal Centre aims to ensure the basic right to healthy food, as well as provide a welcoming environment where people at risk of social exclusion can develop the tools to help them integrate into society.
This inspiring social initiative is run entirely by volunteers working 12 to 14-hour days at the centre, and professionals from different backgrounds dedicating their spare time to help organise this service for the underprivileged. “The satisfaction that comes from participating in the project is incomparable,” affirm volunteers.
As well as providing a balanced meal each day, daily contact with users helps detect and prevent certain social risks through information passed on to corresponding social workers, thus providing users with care, support and monitoring via the centre.

“Humanitarian Transport” is a charity project founded by Boluda Corporación Marítima that dedicates space on the company’s vessels to the free transportation of material necessities such as clothing, food, school and sports equipment to third world countries or those in humanitarian crisis, in collaboration with humanitarian organizations.
